Barbara Vasquez is a Staff Archaeologist with over eight years of experience supporting environmental investigation and remediation projects across California and New Mexico. She specializes in archaeological field management, cultural resource compliance, and mitigation monitoring, overseeing investigations from Phase I through Phase III. Barbara works closely with multidisciplinary teams to lead field crews, facilitate Native American consultations, and prepare detailed Environmental Impact Reports and DPR 523 forms.
She currently serves as a Staff Archaeologist with Environmental Resource Compliance, LLC and Far Western Anthropological Research Group, Inc., where she manages field operations, ensures FEMA Section 106 compliance, and supports state and federal environmental programs. Her project portfolio includes the CalRecycle Debris and Hazard Tree Removal Programs, the 2022 Oak and Mosquito Fire recovery efforts, the Butte County Fire Safety Council Projects, and multiple Caltrans and Naval Air Station Lemoore monitoring initiatives.
Barbara holds a B.A. in Anthropology (Archaeology) and a B.S. in Criminology (Forensic Behavioral Science) from California State University, Fresno. Certified in FEMA IC 100 and 200, she brings technical expertise in GIS mapping, Trimble, and ArcGIS, along with bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Barbara is recognized for her leadership, professionalism, and commitment to preserving cultural and historic resources across diverse and challenging field environments.
