Environmental Resources Compliance (ERC) is a small business enterprise that provides integrated natural and cultural resources compliance and regulatory permit requirement management and construction monitoring support to public and private sector clients.
At ERC we are experts in innovative solutions for:
1. Expedited review, delivery, and implementation of civil works, regulatory, conservation, development, and restoration construction compliance and regulatory requirements.
2. Strategic cultural and natural resources review, assessment and implementation.
3. Native American resources identification, evaluation, and mitigation.
4. Complex projects involving treatment and disposition of remains.
ERC has extensive experience in completing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents.
ERC provides integrated management of environmental compliance and regulatory permitting requirements, as required by CEQA and NEPA. ERC provides consultants, agencies, and tribes with the expertise to determine the appropriate environmental document or permit for each project when it comes to natural and cultural resources.
ERC helps provide all services and staffing required for the identification, evaluation, and resolution of potential effects to archaeological resources and Historic Properties (per NRHP) and Tribal Cultural Resources (per AB52), as needed for compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulations. ERC staff are able to conduct field surveys to identify prehistoric sites, prior to construction, where others have failed. This is by recognizing the artifacts and landscape to be able to identify buried in-situ and disturbed sites, prior to impact. This allows for preemptive measures to be in place to be able to respond to any situation in a responsible manner. ERC has expert level experience and knowledge of all Bureau of Reclamation, Department of Water Resources and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers water infrastructure projects in Central California and the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Region. This includes energy, flood control, water storage, and conveyance projects throughout the American, Bear, Consumes, Feather, Mokolumne, Sacramento, San Joaquin, and Yuba rivers and associated creeks and streams.
At ERC we help clients navigate through State and Federal burial laws and understand how the intersection of these laws effect project permits or compliance with such laws as PRC 5097.98, CEQA, Section 106, and NEPA. This question becomes important when deciding on such things as project schedules, costs, safety, emergency, respectful treatment and disposition, reburial, museum curation, scientific data recovery and analysis, and archaeological studies. At ERC we are coming up with the latest creative and alternative solutions to help minimize project costs but still be respectful to taxpayers, landowners, and tribal communities.
We love our customers, so feel free to schedule a visit during normal business hours.
